Fanning Powder
Date: Mar 23 06
Keep your fans smoother and your armspreads tighter. If want to take cardistry seriously, you have to give fanning powder a shot.

Good stuff. I'm addicted to it!

The great Bone told me never to use fanning powder. Once you start using it you'll use it all the time, and your loose your ability to fan WITHOUT the powder. Bone only jams with new decks, all the time. - Hood

This stuff will take a deck from a life of a week to a life of a month. 5/5.

Great stuff! fanning ability is more than fanning powder... deck condition and other factors.

Yeah, de' doesn't use it either, but Jerry does, and he's also great. Why would you fan without powder when you have powder? I'd love to see Bone doing a fan twirl with a deck right out of the box, and some of the armspread catches. Sometimes powder is neccicary, so why not use it? Deffinetly a great thing, 5/5.

Good stuff most of the time. But best to bring 2 decks if you want to do magic.

Great for most flourishes, not good for most card sleights.

THis stuff will seriously will take standard decks of cards from a short, dismal life, to at least middle age (in card years, you understand). I bought it because Jerry swears by it, and it does improve the fans and life of the cards drastically. It isn't magic, though. You do have to be able to fan a deck of cards without it, and you shouldn't develop a dependency, because the feds have started busting on magicians for that. So to stay in the clear, I use powder'd decks less than regular ones. It works well for most cuts, keeps the cards from sliding all over the place, and it makes learning the Cobra Cut a helluva lot easier. In short, this is great stuff, but it isn't heaven in a yellow tube. 7/10
