It's the best DVD by the best people if you're lookin' for original and visual cuts. Also includes aceprods and alot of funny clips, shortfilms, outtakes and more! I would recommend getting it from their own site, though. You get access to alot of bonus material, several tutorials and special forums.

pertaining to allan's comment. i wouldnt say that these moves are original, because they're not, some are variations and other people's moves. but i do agree that the material itself is certainly worth your while.

I'm gonna have to disagree with most people here and say this dvd is frustrating, at best. Sure, the moves are great, but the teaching and the angles are probably the worst I've ever seen. No, not impossible to learn from, but definitely could've been better. Plus, I had to go through an act of Congress to even FIND the dvd to buy it. The Dan and Dave website never had this dvd in their stock. How that's possible, I'm not sure. Most other websites didn't carry it either. Sheesh.

Bloody amazing DVD with great cuts.

The teaching is fine, it just takes time. You get used to it.

I like the moves!
It is hard to see everything they're doing in just the 2 angles they show. I'd prefer if there was some verbal instruction too, on the werm especially. One thing that seems to help me is to view (the front angle especially) in a mirror. or to stand with my left shoulder to the screen and look over my shoulder to keep the right and left straight until I learn the basic moves.
It's definitely worth having if you're serious about XCM.

I totally Agree with Dead on that. very cool moves and stuff but an over the shoulder cam would be so much better, i mean some moves are pretty hard to learn as it is.

THE SYSTEM IS ACE, BUT THE CUTS ARE HARD!!

As someone who's learned a WHOLE LOT of flourishes from slowing down ppls vids, I didn't find it hard to learn from... Me and Scott learned all of the stuff in like 1/2 an hour...

If you're a beginner, don't get it, if you aren't, then do!!

A lot of ppl have bitched about the teaching just coz the stuff is too complicated and too hard for them...(not saying Dead is doing this, cos frankly, he owns!! :D)...

If anyone is a 'Systemer' on DnD, and want's an 'easyer-to-learn-from' tutorial for any oftrhe System stuff, PM me or scott and we'll see wat we can do... :)

I haven't got it yet, but it's on it's way to me, but still..I have to say this. None of the cuts in the system prewiew (except for the werm maybe) can actually be done on stage. So if you are a serious manipulator that wants to do XCM on stage all the time, is the system the right thing for you? Is spending months or a year to get all the cuts down fast and smooth worth it? Is this DVD not more for guys who just hang in their rooms and record videos? Isn't the only way to make a profit with the system moves to make the system DVD? That's to late for us guys, so I don't know, if someone can help me out it'd be cool.

Dan and Dave performed a flourish act on stage with such cuts for magicians and were the only ones to get a standing ovation there.

For laymen, probably not. But they usually perform close up as far as I know.

The Material on this DVD is absolutely astonishing, especially the first time you see it done correctly. The only dissapointment for me was finding out that there are no written or spoken instructions. Access the System Vault Forums on DnD is an absolute must have for ppl like me who have trouble learning by only watching.

Other than that, it has a LOT of material, and even some Great Bonus moves and better teaching in the extra features.

The System is a great DVD, full of incredibly inventive new uses for existing moves, and several unique variations that make watching and learning from it a fantastic experience! As others have noted, the teaching is not the best (I prefer De'vo's style, mostly for the angles), but there is a reason why the cuts run on a loop. This DVD is not for the beginner, either. The cuts range from simple to this-close-to-impossible. The Werm is a really fun cut, simple once you get the idea and practice a bit. Overall, this is a good DVD to get after you have learnt several basic moves. I would reccomend Xtreme Beginnerz before this DVD, but I'm sure you could certainly buy them both at the same time and learn the moves in a choppy unison. The System will introduce the novice to ideas and concepts that you've never come close to imagining, and will definitely take your flourishing to the next level. 9/10
