You ordered yours already, so why do you still want a review? Wait a short period of time until your dvd arrives, open up the box and throw it into your dvd player.

Well one drawback to ratings is that they're not always accurate. Some videos are based solely on past reputation, rather than merit. I'm not saying this video won't "eventually" deserve the high rating that it already has, but it is still funny that people have rated this product when they haven't even seen it.

Ok so I received my DVD, hoorah was really happy. Got #3 out of the 101, so thats always nice.
Ok the moves. Now I don't want to be rude, but people were right when they said that a few years ago the material would have been incredible and the effect has worn off.
Sad to say, this is quite true.
I would give a blow by blow review of every single move but theres no point. Cuts like symphony are incredibly simple and actually are only good when used in combos, which are also taught, if you look at the list of moves they ae the "runs."

Now don't get me wrong, there are some cool moves on here. I love sleeper, mayhem, lethal and especially snapd. The "runs" are nice looking but I feel a bit cheated seeing as they are just a combination of two of the previously taught moves. It seems as if they were taught separately to beef out the move list. Also the sybils, or "sybles" as Dan calls them, are... well... sybils. The sybil helix idea is nice but they both look the same.
The teaching as just like the system, so thats absolutely fine and anybody who says its too difficult gives up too easy.

The editing is nice and the DVD is neatly put together. Daniel just released it a few years too late. The story about how all the footage kept getting destroyed is a sad one. But I can't help thinking after the first time he would have thought making a backup fo the files might be wise.
So in conclusion. It's good. Not oustanding. But good.
I would, however, highly recommend it for people just getting into cardistry (if they can do a sybil) as there are some fun easy moves on the DVD.

Thanks for the honest review Artwo. I can imagine the moves in this DVD aint going to be too difficult especially for those who already can do most cuts in the System. It will be easier for us to learn now compared to when we first started flourishing. I'm looking forward to watching the dvd myself. I should be getting it prob sometime this week or perhaps next. I'm interested to know what the single card you guys mentioned is all abt. Any more reviews?

I got it today.

The Flourishes: Hmm, can't really rate that. Some stuff just looked like "wtf? is that supposed to be nice?" while others were "wtf? that rocked!". I've been using "Turnover" ever since TCC where he had a tutorial for it, even though he called it "Twisted Rain" back then. Switching names is always confusing.
I know for sure I will be using these:
Lethal (maybe the extended)
Some Cylinder and Symphony-stuff
Dead Revolution
Syblnthrn
Turnover
Dropsyble
Downfall
I will probably have fun with Snapd as well. So yeah, I have nothing to complain about, I will gain quite a lot from this DVD. I got two playing cards with the DVD, The King of Hearts and the Joker.
All in all, I give the DVD 4/5, and I wouldn't say it was a waste of money.

Oh wat! Guess what.. 15 mins after I posted the mail guy came and pass me this envelope and I knew straight away it was the DVD!
I opened it.... I got the 9 of Diamonds.
But.. I must say I found the cover design to be extremely simple though, white background and black text. I tot it could be a nicer DVD cover. Oh well. I got 9 or 101.
Yet to check the content in the DVD. Will write more tonite after watching it.

I think I like the DVD a little better now than when I just got it, I just got kind of aggrevated over those 6-7 not-very-new moves in the beginning.
Downfall, Lethal Ex, Syblnthrn, Turnover and Mayhem rocks.

I only had time to watch thru once the whole thing last nite. Yes, as Jonas mentioned... the first few cuts... were like huh?... that's it and besides... some of the concepts I've already been using eg. Cylinder.
But yeah.... the combos rock.... Much of his ending finishes the same way. I'll definitely be using most of the stuff in there. I love the look of Mayhem.
Its definitely better than a 3, but slightly less than a 4. So 3.5/5 for me.

Badass. I thought that it was well packaged and put together. I thought it progressed well throught. Building on Techniques was great for those of us that arnt as advanced.

I thought it was good overall, I don't really have much of a problem with the moves. But the teaching could have been a little bit better, I am still able to learn it fine, but I think he should have moved a little bit slower, perhaps. But I liked the DVD overall! :-D
