As much as I used to love this site I really don't see why it is being kept open, it's costing money and I don't believe the results are worth it. I think if anyone continues to practice flourishing like it used to be they should go to theory11 and save Richard and whoever helps with the hosting at theory11 some money.

Of course then I suppose the next poster would tell me the same thing. What's up Ampersan? It seems like all the posts you make lately are trying to start an argument.

Let's be nice. ^_^

Then don't post...lol.

Like, why post at all if you've heard it regurgitated so many times. It doesn't make sense, if you're so tired or if, to come JUMP into the middle of the thread with harsh, argumental posts, right? Or maybe, in some far-off land, Ampersan's sitting there laughing his ass off at me and the other idiots posting.

Or most likely, he's either trying to get attention or trying to look cool.

So get out of the thread, and let the people with something constructive to say post without you.

More hugs, less...flaming.

So people understand what needs to be done as opposed to just sitting around and your only trying to cool me out on looking cool because I called you out on that other thread.

I don't think anyone really grasps the concept that what we do is Extremely niched. I do mean extremely.

The world contains almost 7 billion people. I would very surprised if 1 million of those people could pick up a deck and perform a sloppy Charlier cut. Out of that million people, I doubt 100,000 of them could do the kinds of basic things you see on decknique.

So in the grand picture, talking about who is elite, is quite silly.

If you are reading this, you are an elite card Handler.

That being said, newbs should practice all the basic newbs on my youtube page before they make any video. If you can't do all that, sell your video camera, Cuase basically no one wants to see that crap.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves guys. 5 years ago there hardly was any trace of 'the art' and 5 years on look at the countless forums and members that populate them, it is absolute ignorance if you say the 'art' is fading. If anything its growing faster than it ever did thanks to sites such as youtube and vimeo which have allowed users to share ideas.

Decknique is simply a community that looks to challenge the ability of the members that read her forums. You may come here as a newbie and challenge yourself, and with excessive practice you will feel at home here, this is by far the hard route. Opposed to the easy route which has been described in other posts above, where newbies go to more watered sites where you will learn the basics and perhaps flourish into a cardist, however i believe the pass rate for members making it to a good standard on these sites is very low due to lack of patience, and just the general trend of 'giving up' after seeing the long road.

If anything Decknique offers a place for newbies to learn and question whilst allowing the more experienced members to challenge themselves and progress in a way that other sites simply cant compete with, the lack of newbie posts on the hole allows for more solid discussion and the appearance of threads like, "where can I get the cards dan and dave use in the system?" and "who is better devo or jesus" is a rarety or even a novelty thanks to the n00bhaters, (I dont hate N00bs as I was one, and compared to others I still am one sort of, I just think that experienced members should have a place to sit and drink coffee without being noob raped with questions.

Elite Club ftw.
