Default After Effects CS4

Hey everyone,
I just recently got AAE. And was wondering if anybody on here actually has it and has used it, and can tell me their thoughts, opinions, tips etc.. on the software. Also, it would be very helpful if anyone could point me to some good resources for learning, experimenting. Thanks in advance.

Can't recommend VideoCopilot enough, they're videos are fantastic.

CS3 is just the previous release. I don't really see any need to update to CS4 if you have CS3. At its core, AE CS3 is the same program.

AE doesn't "edit" video/clips together. It really just makes affects. But Vegas and AE are quite different.

thats like saying how does mozilla firefox compare to photoshop
totally different
and of course its confusing, its aimed at professionals. if you want to be pro, learn it. if not, find some other effects generations/compositing program that is aimed at beginners

if you ARE interested in it though, like really are, i would recommend watching all of the video co pilot tutorials, they really are very good and some are very advanced. if you learn everything there you will actually have a very good handle on the program.
