hum yeah, that move is from a kind of biddle grip like the waterfall and you "bend" the cards to put some air between each of them, it's exactly like the waterfall. Yo is from dealers grip and its basicly like the one handed armspread but in the air, so for YO to look good you HAVE to use a brand knew deck since there's no air between the cards. plus with the sideways waterfall you basicly "drop" the cards while moving you arm, with YO, the cards have to "slide" one your hand before going in the air. But ye the effect is about the same anyway^^

re: Jamal, Jerry teaches the regular one handed waterfall+catch in the encyclo, not the sideways one; though it's self explanatory but comin up with an idea like that and following through until it comes to fruition (like the fan catch) is just gold, and Ali paved the way for people like this guy to do it better than him :P

Oh ya 'yo' like Dimi said is done more at ease with a new deck, unlike the waterfall, which is in its prime when you use a deck with a lot of pow so the cards spread more even but slower to get a longer drop.
