Decknique channel on YouTube

Yes, I know this topic is as worn as Dixie'd up circus pony, now working the used car lot circut ...but I figured I'd give it one more go (feed it a carrot if you will)

Decknique needs an official youtube channel. So many of us have our own channels...we need a Deathstar of propaganda. Perhaps a monthly edit of the best clips (not full videos) all rolled into a planet destroying deathbeam of roughly two minutes of footage. We could have a monthly forums poll running to determine the best videos and much MORE IMPORTANTLY, the best clips from these videos. Once decided upon we could cut and re-edit them together to form a monthly WOWFEST with which to draw members. We could do theme polls, music polls...whatever.

here's the plan to get things rolling:
month one:
1) open a forum discussion for member's to mention clips that they felt were very strong
2) decide on a judge or moderator
3) allow the official to select a few of these topnotch clips (list its timeline location in the video) from some member videos (go back a month or two for the first round)
3) organize a forum poll and decide what clips we will use
4) organize a forum poll to decide on a song
month two:
5) take the top 5 to 10 clips, remove sound, and edit into a video
6) use winning song
7) post on youtube
8) get those who watch the monthly video to join decknique.

we could also take these steps:
1) create a Decknique trailer/teaser that all of us to post on our youtube channels to draw all our viewers to deckniques channel
2) make sure that we give a shout to decknique in all our future youtube videos
3) bomb other's video comments with propaganda (it's not evil since we're not selling anything.)

best thing we could do:
MAKE DECKNIQUE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE TUTORIALS
RICHARD SHOULD CREATE A SECTION
A VAULT
WHERE THE BEST OF THE BEST TUTORIALS, you CANT see elsewhere, ARE KEPT...
...AND YOU MUST BE A DECKNIQUE MEMBER TO ACCESS THEM
NO FEE
JUST MEMBERSHIP

I see Decknique as a youtube of cardistry/skill

I guess spawning youtube with a couple commercials to drum in some business wouldn't be bad, but maybe not a monthly thing.

Sounds cool, but I don't think we should post Decknique advertising in the comments section for other people's YouTube videos, unless it really belongs there. Because if we do, then it's just going to annoy people because we're just putting advertisements on everyone's videos.

That and I really like the Idea of a members only tutorial vault.

Seriously!!!!!
We should make tutorials for members only!
No one would have to spend any money...just take the time to join.
It would just drive up membership.
and
I know it's lame, but taking the time to become a member, does, if only subconsiously, increase loyalty and frequency of visit...and that's all good for Decknique.

Most flourishers not on a forum e.g. DN, HL, DnD usually aren't good, they dabble in charliers and butterfly cuts.

I think, making an advert of somekind would be good, but a whole thing would be a waste of someones time.

I agree with pav13. I think richard already posts the occasional teaser on his youtube channel anyway (richkzad). It would be a waste of somebody's time organising a whole new Youtube Channel


But it's a good idea if people are bothered to do that =).

I agree. Decknique is not a portal in itself. YouTube allows much more publicity.

Yeah..I joined because craige had the decknique logo in like all his work, and I was like, "wtf is this crap?" and googled it.
