Who would be up for a collaboration competition?

Think UDCC about a year ago or so. The idea is: participants each make a video to show their skill level, and then they are split into groups of 3 based on their skill level. They then have 4 weeks to produce a creative cardistry collaboration video together, and then judges pick the winning teams. If after seeing your group video they decide your individual video was misleading (i.e. pretending you suck), you would be penalized.

So... is this something you'd like to do again? Might be official, might be unofficial, maybe it'd be with T11 somehow... but would you be up for the general idea.

But i wouldnt want it to be with t11 as in wouldnt be able to view any other people submissions.

Right now I'm just gauging interest, there are currently no plans to actually do it yet. If there's enough interest, then we'll see.

I wouldn't participate, but I'd love to see this happen. It was fun to see it all unravel the last time (even though it took ages), so it would be great to see how this'll turn out this time with much better, official management.

I would, but I'm afraid no one else on this site is at my skill level, so I'd be alone and afraid. JK ROWLINGS!!! I'm not really thinking that. but it would be cool if we could pick teams so homeys can compete together. like the singaporeans could get a crew together, me and monkey and Vince could make a team (lol ) , you know it's more likely to have better collaboration between groups if you actually know each other.

also remember that although lots of people will express interest, it's another thing to actually make it happen (think cardmagic's 2nd anniversary thread) so maybe having groups of friends will make it more likely because they can beat up on each other to finish videos.

that sounds cool .. dunno if i would get involved (im lazy :P) .. but would be cool to see another one of these ....

the oganization of the whole thing would really need to be looked at before even thinking about starting... althouhg Fletch would like to have "friends" get together in teams wouldnt that leave out the "less known" ppl that may want to participate? .... how about a draft instead? .. captains are chosen and they all go in a raffle 1 through how many teams there are going to be ... then the one to pick 1 will have first pick then the one to pick 2 will have the second, etc... until every one is distributed ....

as a sided not to that .. have them pick by levels.. they all pick from the "beginners" and once all of them are picked up move on to the "intermediates" and so on.... but this really depends on how many ppl actually participate.

Soz richard, whati meant was if it was done on theory 11 i would not be able to view the other teams submissions as i cannot view the t11 media system. (player dont work for me).

I like the idea of frineds or groups teaming up as then that really binds the group doesn't it? as oppsed to just joining it coz it is the "cool thing to do". It would make those less solid groups have substance.

MEh, but whatever i am up for it.
